E313 Parash 44 D’varim (Deut) “Words” 1:1–3:22

Deu 1:3  On the first day of the eleventh month of the fortieth year, Moshe spoke to the people of Isra'el, reviewing everything Adonai had ordered him to tell them.

The main topic of this Parash is review Torah before taking possession of The Promised Land. Reviewing before a test that is going to effect everything following it. It is a good idea to review all the information. D’varim (Deut) is a review book of the other 4 books. We will see strong evidence of this information in these few chapters.

E312 Parash 43 Mase’ei B’midbar (Num) 33:1–36:35

Num 35:9  Adonai said to Moshe, Num 35:10  "Tell the people of Isra'el, 'When you cross the Yarden into the land of Kena`an, Num 35:11  you are to designate for yourselves cities that will be cities of refuge for you, to which anyone who kills someone by mistake can flee. Num 35:12  These cities are to be a refuge for you from the dead person's next-of-kin, who might otherwise avenge his kinsman's death by slaying the killer prior to his standing trial before the community.

Parash main focus is mistakes both intentional and inadvertent what to do about them. In chapter 33 we see the stages of the journey. Knowing your history so you follow the good road. Knowing your history, so you can see the mistakes of the past and avoid the same ones. In chapter 33 Yehovah warns His people to remove all the people of the land or they will become thorns in your eyes.

E311 Parash 042 Matot B’midbar (Num) 30:2–32:42

Num 30:1 Then Moshe spoke to the heads of the tribes of the people of Isra'el. He said, "Here is what Adonai has ordered: Num 30:2 when a man makes a vow to Adonai or formally obligates himself by swearing an oath, he is not to break his word but is to do everything he said he would do.

The main focus of the Parash is vows and the order of the biblical family. The other focus of this Parash is responsibility of the men. This certainly is not being taught in our diverse culture of hating God.

E310 Parash 041 Pinchas B’midbar (Num) 25:10–30:1

Num 27:5  Moshe brought their cause before Adonai. Num 27:6  Adonai answered Moshe, Num 27:7  "The daughters of Tz'lof'chad are right in what they say. You must give them property to be inherited along with that of their father's brothers; have what their father would have inherited pass to them.

In this parash there is a tremendous amount of information. There is latterly three different themes. Pinchas, the daughters and His holy days. But all of them come back to joining ourselves to Messiah Yeshua and Elohim’s perfect Torah. The reason we join ourselves to Torah is this. It gives us the steps to getting our inheritance from the Master of the Universe both here and in eternity. Discover how to get your inheritance with a covenant of shalom in this teaching.

E309 Parash 40 Balak B’midbar (Num) 22:2–25:9

Num 23:4  El-o-heem' met Bil`am, who said to him, "I prepared the seven altars and offered a bull and a ram on each altar." Num 23:5  Then Yehovah put a word in Bil`am's mouth and said, "Go on back to Balak, and speak as I tell you." Num 23:6  He went back to him, and there, standing by his burnt offering, he with all the princes of Mo'av, Num 23:7  he made his pronouncement: "Balak, the king of Mo'av, brings me from Aram, from the eastern hills, saying, 'Come, curse Ya`akov for me; come and denounce Isra'el.' Num 23:8  "How am I to curse those whom God has not cursed? How am I to denounce those whom Yehovah has not denounced?

Once told by Elohim not to go and curse the children of Israel. Like most people Bil’am does not listen the first time. The next time Balak sends more money with higher stature people. Bil’am has already been told not to go and curse the people. Does he just say to these new people I have already given my answer…nope. We as people always want fame, fortune and most of all our own way. Let us study this Parash so we learn the lesson of not going against Yehovah will.

E308 Parash 039 “Chukat” B’midbar (Num) 19:1–22:1

Num 20:7  Adonai said to Moshe, Num 20:8  "Take the staff, assemble the community, you and Aharon your brother; and before their eyes, tell the rock to produce its water. You will bring them water out of the rock and thus enable the community and their livestock to drink."

One of the hardest passages of scripture to read is this parash. Why you ask? Good question I say. The reason it is so hard to read is Moshe is such a hard worker for the Kingdom. Always interceding on his face before Yehovah for the people when they make mistakes. He was leading a bunch of constantly complaining Jews and Gentiles. Nothing like this had ever been done before. He had Torah in His heart but not in written form like we do today.

In this parsh Moshe makes the one mistake that costs him and his brother physical entrance into the Promised Land. Sometimes you want to respectfully say to Yehovah c’mon let Moshe slide just once. But to much is given, much is required. No matter the stress level we must be obedient to the commandments of the KING. Take the time to experience this profound Torah portion.

E307 Parash 38 Korach B’midbar (Num) 16:1–18:32

Num 18:1  Adonai said to Aharon, "You, your sons and your father's family line will be responsible for anything that goes wrong in the sanctuary. You and your sons with you will be responsible for anything wrong in your service as cohanim.

A great lesson for all those millennial’s who think they know what is best. Korach thought just because he was part of the leadership, he could take over the role as the main leader. Just because we think it is true does not make it true in reality. In this parash teaching we will explore the incredible responsibility of running a nation. The real responsibility of running a congregation. We will see the outcome of the real place called Sh’ol and who you take there when you make a large mistake.
