313 The Employee
Rev 22:9 But he said to me, "Don't do that! I am only a fellow-servant with you and your brothers, the prophets and the people who obey the words in this book. Worship God!"
This passage of scripture gives us the people who follow Yeshua what our job is. We are to worship Him and Him alone. That is our job, so you might think of yourself as an Employee of heaven’s Kingdom. With that in mind we might then say if this is my job have I been a good employee of my boss? Am I doing a good job?
Now you might be thinking how does the picture for the message match up with this thought?
Pro 10:26 Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes is a lazy person to his employer.
Like vinegar to teeth what does that mean? Are you this type of employee to your God? Why does Shlomo use these words? Dental experts agree that eating preparations with vinegar can cause irreversible damage to the teeth. Vinegar is an acid and it acts on the enamel of the teeth, making them more sensitive to temperatures. This means that vinegar does make teeth sensitive. In addition, eating vinegary preparations can also make the teeth more prone to tooth decay. Anything you eat whether it be hot or cold will be painful to you. Is this the type of employee you are to Yeshua, a painful one? Are you the type of employee in the verge of getting fired? Learn about your employee handbook so you can be a good employee of heaven.
