374 Leadership in the desert
Have you ever been in the desert, and asked Adonai, “why am I here”? Have you ever shaken your finger at Adonai for being in the desert? Sometimes the Lord leads us to the desert to get our attention. But what happens when we are in the desert? Let’s think about that a minute. When you are in the desert you might not be able to pay your power bill, or a phone bill, etc. During that time there is no one to call on. No one can call you, but you can always call on the name above all names YHVH!
Why should Torah be a part of our lives? Why are the Holy days so important to Adonai, and why should they be important to us? What is the foundation that we live upon? Is it through grace that we could do whatever we want, because we know that we will be forgiven? Where do sacrifice, trusting, and blessings come into significance in our lives? Are these things important in leadership? When the winter comes the flowers die, the leaves fall off the trees, and there is a certain death that has taken place, but when the spring comes all of a sudden those trees come to life and the flowers start to grow and bloom, and we see life burst forth. The same thing happens to us when we celebrate the fall Holy days, and the Spring Holy days. If you don’t celebrate the Lord’s Holy days, how can you say that you are covered in the blood of the Lamb? Adonai leads us into the desert to teach us who we are. He led us to the desert out of bondage to teach us how to be leaders. He wants to bring us to a bigger and better understanding of not only who we are, but who he is, and how he will use us, if we pay attention to what he says. Sometimes that means being in the desert. Do you want to be free from the bondage in your life? Don’t get bitter over what YHVH is doing, but instead learn how he can make it sweet by putting the wood in your circumstances, and give you life overflowing with sweetness, come take a closer look at how Adonai builds leadership in the desert, and the importance of taking it seriously, and doing exactly what he tells us to do in his word.
Deuteronomy 32:46 he said to them, "Take to heart all the words of my testimony against you today, so that you can use them in charging your children to be careful to obey all the words of this Torah.
Deuteronomy 32:47 For this is not a trivial matter for you; on the contrary, it is your life! Through it you will live long in the land you are crossing the Yarden to possess."
