388 Free Will
Joh 10:17 "This is why the Father loves me: because I lay down my life — in order to take it up again!
Joh 10:18 No one takes it away from me; on the contrary, I lay it down of my own free will. I have the power to lay it down, and I have the power to take it up again. This is what my Father commanded me to do."
Yeshua laid down His life so that we could have access to the Kingdom of Adonai. However, why did He do it? Did He have to do it? The key for this message what will be explored is “Free Will” to choose to do it. Yeshua chose on His own free will to fulfill what was written in the prophets. To go and take on the sin of the world to live a life as the perfect Adam so we could have the opportunity to have eternal life.
When we choose to make a covenant with the Lord He never forces us to do so. He is not standing with a gun pointed at our head. He is not threatening us. He is just extending His hand toward you, it is you that has to take the hand and grab hold. This has to be of your own free will. There must be thought that goes into this choice that most people don’t understand in a Hebrew way of thinking. In this world we are slaves to many different things such as; work, love, money, homes, cars, fashion, family friends ect… When we make this choice for an eternal life it is a free will choice but in doing so we have made a choice to be a servant “slave” to God. This choice should be made with clarity and sincerity. As we entered into the Lord’s fifth month this past Shabbat understand what that Servanthood and free will is all about.
