576 so you say we are under grace

Galatians 3:1-29

SYNOPSIS: Get ready this teaching is going to have a lot of scripture!!! I had a conversation with 7 Gentiles this week. These Gentiles are part of the 2000 year old Romanized Gentile church. One of these Gentile knower’s of jesus says to me; “We are no longer under the Law of Moses”. Wow that is so wonderful I thought because it was such hard work…not!!! At first there were 7 people, two left immediately when the conversation started. One stayed for little while but when the flame was turned on he tucked his tail and ran away. That left 4 people. Three early 20 something’s. 1 a young articulate New Testament black man, 2 a white young lady, 3 a Spanish young lady, and there older statesman a Crypto Jew. In this teaching we are going to go over what they have been taught and what they believe in their Paulian Romanized Gentile theology church. Theme 2 We will then look at the one persons propagation of supersession, for Paul’s writing supersedes Messiah own words. Theme 3 Now that we are no longer under the law we can do this because we have the Holy Spirit. Theme 4 if supersession is correct then let us go to the end of the bible and see what the final conclusion is.

THEME 1: WE ARE UNDER GRACE. Let us read all the Paul verses that the Gentile Roman Church quotes Galatians 3:1-29, Gal 1:17-18, Gal. 4:3-5, 5:18, 5:19-21, Rom 2:11-12, Rom 6:14, Rom 3:19-20, Rom 6:7-8, Rom 7:4-6, Romans 8:1-3

THEME 2: SUPERSESSION: Supersessionism, also called replacement theology or fulfillment theology, is a Christian theological view on the current status of the church in relation to the Jewish people and Judaism. It holds that the Christian Church has succeeded the Israelites as the definitive people of God or that the New Covenant has replaced or superseded the Mosaic covenant. Mat 5:17-18, Colossians 2:14, Acts 15:19-20

THEME 3: NO LONGER UNDER LAW Exo 20:2, 3-6, 7, 8-11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, Lev 19:32  Num 15:38-40, D’varim 6:4-5, Lev 19:18, Exo 22:21, Exo 22:20, Exo 21:15 , Lev 18:6, Lev 23:5, Lev 11:2, Lev 25:14, Deu 23:25-26, Lev 19:12, Exo 23:11, Deu 1:17, Lev 20:10, Lev 18:22, Exo 22:28,

THEME 4: FINAL CONCLUSION OF SUPERSESSION: Rev 22:14-15, Mattiyahu 5:18, 2 Kefa (Peter) 3:14-18, Koholet (Ecc) 12:13-14

THEME 1: WE ARE UNDER GRACE.

Galatians 3:1-29

Gal 3:2  I want to know from you just this one thing: did you receive the Spirit by legalistic observance of Torah commands or by trusting in what you heard and being faithful to it?

Gal 3:5

Gal 3:10

Gal 3:11

Gal 3:13

Gal 3:18

Gal 3:24-25

Gal 3:28

Gal 1:17  and I did not go up to Yerushalayim to see those who were emissaries before me. Instead, I immediately went off to Arabia and afterwards returned to Dammesek. Gal 1:18  Not until three years later did I go up to Yerushalayim to make Kefa's acquaintance, and I stayed with him for two weeks,

Gal. 4:3-5,

Gal 4:5  so that he might redeem those in subjection to this legalism and thus enable us to be made God's sons.

Gal 5:18  But if you are led by the Spirit, then you are not in subjection to the system that results from perverting the Torah into legalism.

Gal. 5:19-21

Gal 5:19  And it is perfectly evident what the old nature does. It expresses itself in sexual immorality, impurity and indecency;

Rom 2:11  For God does not show favoritism. Rom 2:12  All who have sinned outside the framework of Torah will die outside the framework of Torah; and all who have sinned within the framework of Torah will be judged by Torah.

Rom 6:14  For sin will not have authority over you; because you are not under legalism but under grace.

Rom 3:19  Moreover, we know that whatever the Torah says, it says to those living within the framework of the Torah, in order that every mouth may be stopped and the whole world be shown to deserve God's adverse judgment. Rom 3:20  For in his sight no one alive will be considered righteous on the ground of legalistic observance of Torah commands, because what Torah really does is show people how sinful they are.

Rom 6:7  For someone who has died has been cleared from sin. Rom 6:8  Now since we died with the Messiah, we trust that we will also live with him.

I died in jesus now I can live for Him any way that makes me feel good

Rom 7:4-6

Rom 7:6  But now we have been released from this aspect of the Torah, because we have died to that which had us in its clutches, so that we are serving in the new way provided by the Spirit and not in the old way of outwardly following the letter of the law.

Romans 8:1-3

Rom 8:1  Therefore, there is no longer any condemnation awaiting those who are in union with the Messiah Yeshua.

THEME 2: SUPERSESSION:

Mat 5:17  "Don't think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete. Mat 5:18  Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud ( י ) or a stroke will pass from the Torah — not until everything that must happen has happened.

Col 2:14  He wiped away the bill of charges against us. Because of the regulations, it stood as a testimony against us; but he removed it by nailing it to the cross.

Supersessionism, also called replacement theology or fulfillment theology, is a Christian theological view on the current status of the church in relation to the Jewish people and Judaism. It holds that the Christian Church has succeeded the Israelites as the definitive people of God or that the New Covenant has replaced or superseded the Mosaic covenant.

Act 15:19  "Therefore, my opinion is that we should not put obstacles in the way of the Goyim who are turning to God. Act 15:20  Instead, we should write them a letter telling them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from fornication, from what is strangled and from blood.

#22 Lev 25:14  " 'If you sell anything to your neighbor or buy anything from him, neither of you is to exploit the other.

#23 Deu 23:25 "When you enter your neighbor's vineyard, you may eat enough grapes to satisfy your appetite; but you are not to put any in your basket. Deu 23:26 When you enter your neighbor's field of growing grain, you may pluck ears with your hand; but you are not to put a sickle to your neighbor's grain.

#25 Lev 19:12  Do not swear by my name falsely, which would be profaning the name of your God; I am Adonai.

#26 Exo 23:11  But the seventh year, you are to let it rest and lie fallow, so that the poor among your people can eat; and what they leave, the wild animals in the countryside can eat. Do the same with your vineyard and olive grove.

#27 Deu 1:17  You are not to show favoritism when judging, but give equal attention to the small and to the great. No matter how a person presents himself, don't be afraid of him; because the decision is Elohim's. The case that is too hard for you, bring to me and I will hear it.'

#28 Lev 20:10  " 'If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, that is, with the wife of a fellow countryman, both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

#29 Lev 18:22  " 'You are not to go to bed with a man as with a woman; it is an abomination.

#30 Exo 22:28 "You are not to delay offering from your harvest of grain, olive oil or wine. "The firstborn of your sons you are to give to me.

THEME 4: FINAL CONCLUSION OF SUPERSESSION

Rev 22:14  How blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they have the right to eat from the Tree of Life and go through the gates into the city! Rev 22:15  Outside are the homosexuals, those involved with the occult and with drugs, the sexually immoral, murderers, idol-worshippers, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Mattiyahu 5:18

Mat 5:18  Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud ( י ) or a stroke will pass from the Torah — not until everything that must happen has happened.

2 Kefa (Peter) 3:14-18

2Pe 3:16  Indeed, he speaks about these things in all his letters. They contain some things that are hard to understand, things which the uninstructed and unstable distort, to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.

2Pe 3:17

Koholet (Ecc) 12:13-14

Ecc 12:13  Here is the final conclusion, now that you have heard everything: fear God, and keep his mitzvot; this is what being human is all about. Ecc 12:14  For God will bring to judgment everything we do, including every secret, whether good or bad.
