MESSIANIC LESSON

SYNOPSIS: What does it biblically mean; “to walk by faith, and not by sight”? in today’s HaShabbat lesson we are going to explore the desert and the 3 days of that thought. We are going to look at the promises given to Avraham. We are going to explore YESHUA’S words about “walking in the light”. Comparing them to being lost in the darkness. Finally what does the prophet mean when he wrote; “come out of her my people”?

Lev 23:15  " 'From the day after the day of rest—that is, from the day you bring the sheaf for waving—you are to count seven full weeks, Lev 23:16  until the day after the seventh week; you are to count fifty days; and then you are to present a new grain offering to YEHOVAH. Lev 23:17  You must bring bread from your homes for waving—two loaves made with one gallon of fine flour, baked with leaven—as firstfruits for YEHOVAH.

Sh’mot (Ex) 17:1-3 They have not learned how to walk by faith yet.

Exo 17:3  However, the people were thirsty for water there and grumbled against Moshe, "For what did you bring us up from Egypt? To kill us, our children and our livestock with thirst?"

Exo 17:2

B’midbar (Num) 14:1-4 losing sight makes you want to go back.

Num 14:3  Why is YEHOVAH bringing us to this land, where we will die by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be taken as booty! Wouldn't it be better for us to return to Egypt?"

Num 14:2-3

Yochanan (Jn) 19:26-30 you were hoping HE would come down.

Joh 19:26  When Yeshua saw his mother and the talmid whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, "Mother, this is your son." Joh 19:27  Then he said to the talmid, "This is your mother." And from that time on, the talmid took her into his own home. Joh 19:28  After this, knowing that all things had accomplished their purpose, Yeshua, in order to fulfill the words of the Tanakh, said, "I'm thirsty." Joh 19:29  A jar full of cheap sour wine was there; so they soaked a sponge in the wine, coated it with oregano leaves and held it up to his mouth. Joh 19:30  After Yeshua had taken the wine, he said, "It is accomplished!" And, letting his head droop, he delivered up his spirit.
