SYNOPSIS: As we get ready for the holy days we need to understand YEHOVAH’S personality. What is THE FATHER really like? What is needed to receive a massive blessing in today’s world? What is needed to receive mercy in this world today?

Gen 2:19  So from the ground YEHOVAH, God, formed every wild animal and every bird that flies in the air, and he brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Whatever the person would call each living creature, that was to be its name.

D’varim (Deut) 32:36 taking pity on his servants.

Deu 32:36  "Yes, YEHOVAH will judge his people, taking pity on his servants, when he sees that their strength is gone, that no one is left, slave or free. 

 

PITY – COMPASSION: H5162  נחם  nâcham BDB Definition: 1) comfort, be comforted 2) be moved to pity, have compassion 3) be comforted

 

D’varim (Deut) 30:1-3 show you mercy.

Deu 30:3  At that point, YEHOVAH your God will reverse your exile and show you mercy; he will return and gather you from all the peoples to which YEHOVAH your God scattered you. 

 

MERCY – COMPASSION: H7355 רחם  râcham BDB Definition: 1) to love, love deeply, have mercy, be compassionate, have tender affection, have compassion 2) to have compassion, be compassionate 3) to be shown compassion, be compassionate

 

B’resheet (Gen) 24:20-27 not abandoned his faithful love.

Gen 24:27  Then he said, "Blessed be YEHOVAH, God of my master Avraham, who has not abandoned his faithful love for my master; because YEHOVAH has guided me to the house of my master's kinsmen." 

 

Psalm 100:1-5 his faithfulness lasts through all generations.

Psa 100:5  For YEHOVAH is good, his grace continues forever, and his faithfulness lasts through all generations. 

FAITHFULNESS: H530 אמנה / אמוּנה  'ĕmûnâh BDB Definition: firmness, fidelity, steadfastness, steadiness

 

Synonyms for steadfast: loyal · faithful · committed · devoted · dedicated · dependable · reliable · steady · true · resolute

 

You can depend on HIM

 

Psa 100:5 

 

Sh’mot (Ex) 20:3-6 displaying grace to the thousandth generation of those who love me.

Exo 20:6  but displaying grace to the thousandth generation of those who love me and obey my mitzvot.

Pro 3:12  for YEHOVAH corrects those he loves like a father who delights in his son.

HATES: H8130 שׂנא  śânê' BDB Definition: to hate, be hateful

 

DETESTS – ABOMINATION: H8441 תּעבה / תּועבה  tô‛êbah BDB Definition: 1) a disgusting thing, abomination, abominable 2) in ritual sense (of unclean food, idols, mixed marriages)

Yechezk'el (Eze) 18:23-30 is YEHOVAH fair?
