398 Hear, Learn & Fear
Deu 31:12 Assemble the people — the men, the women, the little ones and the foreigners you have in your towns — so that they can hear, learn, fear Adonai your God and take care to obey all the words of this Torah;
Deu 31:13 and so that their children, who have not known, can hear and learn to fear Adonai your God, for as long as you live in the land you are crossing the Yarden to possess."
What an incredible caring, loving creator of the universe. Every seven years He wants all people to know His truths. His way of living. His way that that would make our lives much, much better. The other wonderful thing about this portion of Scripture is it is not just for the “Jews” it is for anyone who wants to be part of Yehovah’s family. Therefore, you are telling me that if I want to be part of the chosen people and be engrafted in that all I have to do is live the way YHVH wants me to. Yes, it is true you can be a true follower of the WAY if you desire. The other wonderful thing about this passage is the way Yehovah said how to be a part of His family. First, you have to Hear. Then learn the information He is giving you. Then understand how important to Him these words are.
In this message, we will take a biblical look at the word “HEAR”. The word ‘LEARN”. Finally the word “FEAR”. However, before we look at those words we will look at a Hebrew phrase “Take Care”. If we do not understand that phrase, the other words do not matter. If that phrase is not fully understood the last word FEAR will be understood but for bad.
