512 Pay attention to how you hear

Luke 16:19-31

SYNOPSIS: “Yeshua says pay attention to HOW YOU HEAR” How important is listening and how has it become lost in our electronic society? What does it mean to listen? The vast majority of us will spend our lives relying on our listening skills. Like all other skills, listening requires a lot of practice – it is not necessarily something you are just born with. Everyone has the capability of listening – but can you listen well? Indeed, listening well is more important than just merely allowing the information to flow in one ear and out the other. When we listen well, we retain the information that is being submitted to us – and are thus able to use that information in an effective manner at a later date. Mainly to get to where Avraham is living.

SECTION 1; HEAVEN AND HELL IS IT REAL? Who cares if you listen of not if you don’t believe there are any ramifications of your actions. BGMC teaches that there is a literal heaven and a literal hell that you will at according to your listening ability. According to my listening ability yes it is true. In section one we will look at proving that sh’eol does exist. Once this fact has firmly been established we can move on to the comprehensive look at listening skills.

SECTION 2: HOW YOU HEAR. Listening like common sense has become a “Super Power”. When reading the parable of the four seeds Yeshua ends that lesson with the words, “Pay attention to how you hear”. Why does He say that after the four seeds? Why not say it before the passage? The key to the understanding of How you hear is found in the definitions of the words used in Greek.  The first – and most basic step of listening, is hearing. The second part of listening is to understand. The third step of listening is making a judgment. Finally how can I become a better listener?
