600 LOVE

Haggai 1:2-11

SYNOPSIS: The prophet Haggai is given a message by Yehovah “Think about your life” or in some translations “Consider your ways”. In Hebrew the word that word way is “Derek”. H1870  דּרך  derek BDB Definition: 1) way, road, distance, journey, manner 2) direction 3) habit 4) of course of life (figuratively) 5) of moral character (figuratively). We will look closely at number three. Has your habits so transformed you that you do not know what the biblical love is all about? In this message we are going to truly find out what love is all about. How that affects each of our lives and how that affects the world as a whole.

THEME 1: THINK ABOUT YOUR LIFE. In the Book of Haggai the prophet is told not but twice to tell the people to consider their ways. How they do things. How the way they are doing things because they are God’s people will not only affect them but the entire planet. Haggai 1:2-11 Think about your life – consider your way.. Nehemiah 13:15-22 could not wait till Shabbat was over. Psalm 127:1 In vain.

THEME 2: LOVE. A deep biblical look at this profound letter to the Messianic  Jews and Proselytes to Messianic Judaism at the congregation in Corinth. In this section we will look at this letter not with 2000 year old Gentile Roman glasses. But, we will look at it with a heart of excellence. A heart that desires to understand what true biblical love is all about. So that we too can get a full understanding if the greatest gift of all. 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 understanding the greatest gift. Ezekiel 28:12-17 this angel spoke with the language of the angels but had no love. 1 Corinthians 13:1-2. 1Kings 3:5-12 I desire wisdom. Make sure that love of wisdom does not grow cold. 1 Corinthians 13:3. Mattiyahu 19:20-22 sell it all but for what reason. 1 Corinthians 13:3. Shoftim (Judges). 11:30-37 Burnt offerings should be proper. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 vocabulary words…why? 1 Corinthians 13:8-12 Yom Kippur. Yochanan ( Jn) 3:16. B’resheet Gen) 1:1. 1 Corinthians 13:13

THEME 3: THE TRUE BIBLICAL MEANING OF LOVE. In the Hebrew Scriptures, the different forms of the word LOVE create an interesting mosaic or composite when placed together. Through a fascinating process using numbers and words, Yehovah is careful to design an image of love to help us understand the deeper meaning of this commonly used word. B’resheet (Gen) 22:1-14 Love is obedience to the word and the willingness to give up the most precious thing to you. B’resheet (Gen) 29:16-20 Steadfast in you love and commitment. Yesha’yahu (Isa) 43:3-4. Sh’mot (Ex) 20:3-8 The spoken word of love. Yochanan 14:1-16 The Derek and true love. Yochanan (Jn) 15:12-14 No greater love. Haggai 1:5 think about your life.
