SYNOPSIS: In today’s Shabbat lesson we are focusing on building our personal spiritual house. Making that house secure. So when the rains and the floods come your spiritual house will have a firm foundation. Above all the rest and you will have perfect Shalom. With this lesson we will learn the 8 fold key lessons to withstand serious storms. The key is wisdom and to build a foundation not on sand but...on the rock called the WORD.

Pro 24:3  By wisdom a house is built, by understanding it is made secure,

Pro 24:4  and by knowledge its rooms are filled with all kinds of costly and pleasant possessions.

 

Wisdom - H2451 חכמה  chokmâh BDB Definition: 1) wisdom 2) skill (in war) 3) wisdom (in administration) 4) shrewdness, wisdom 5) wisdom, prudence (in religious affairs) 6) wisdom (ethical and religious)

D’varim (Deut) 30:19-20 this is your life so administer it well

Deu 30:19  "I call on heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have presented you with life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore, choose life, so that you will live, you and your descendants, Deu 30:20  loving Adonai your God, paying attention to what he says and clinging to him - for that is the purpose of your life! Psa 119:1  א (Alef) How happy are those whose way of life is blameless, who live by the Torah of Adonai! Psa 119:2  How happy are those who observe his instruction, who seek him wholeheartedly!

LESSON 2: BY KNOWLEDGE PSALM 119. Psalm 119:1-2 happy not sad. Psalm 119:9-16 Building a home with wisdom takes personal work

TWO:  This number can mean difference, division or double portion.

• In the Creation event, God separated light and darkness. [Genesis 1:3-4] 
• The Ten Commandments were inscribed on two tablets of stone. [Exodus 31:18; 32:15; 34:1, 4, 29]
• The children of Israel were forbidden to collect manna on the Sabbath and therefore were permitted to collect a double portion of manna on Friday.[Exodus 16:5]

Psa 119:10  I seek you with all my heart; don't let me stray from your mitzvot.

 

SEEK – SOUGHT - H1875 דּרשׁ  dârash  BDB Definition: 1) to resort to, seek, seek to investigate, with care, enquire, require 2) of God 3) of heathen gods, necromancers 4) to seek deity in prayer and worship 5) to practice, study, follow, seek with application

Mattiyahu (Mat) 7:7-8 seek the Son and He shall be found

Deu 4:30  In your distress, when all these things have come upon you, in the acharit-hayamim, you will return to Adonai your God and listen to what he says;

Deu 4:31  for Adonai your God is a merciful God. He will not fail you, destroy you, or forget the covenant with your ancestors which he swore to them.

 

Psa 119:10  I seek you with all my heart; don't let me stray from your mitzvot.

Psa 119:11  I treasure your word in my heart, so that I won't sin against you.

Psa 119:14  I rejoice in the way of your instruction more than in any kind of wealth.

 

Psa 119:15  I will meditate on your precepts and keep my eyes on your ways.

 

MEDITATE - H7878  שׂיח śı̂yach BDB Definition: to put forth, mediate, muse, commune, speak, complain, ponder, sing, study, consider

 

Psa 119:16  I will find my delight in your regulations. I will not forget your word.

Mattiyahu (Mat) 7:24-26

 

Mat 7:21  "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only those who do what my Father in heaven wants.
