This year the pagan calendar and the Lord’s calendar lined up.
Most of the time Ishtar (easter) is weeks or even a month before Pesach
(Passover). But this year Yom Hobikkurim (Firstfruits) the day the Lord
overcame death the perfect day following the great plan of Adonai was
completed. It was not just any old Sunday, it was the completion of His
appointed times.
The
Lord says in Exodus 20:5 He is a jealous God, so why would anyone who is
called by His name want to follow Ishtar, Goddess
of Love, and the First Resurrection?
Lev 23:11
He is to wave the sheaf before Adonai, so that you will be accepted;
the cohen is to wave it on the day after the Shabbat.
On the day after the Shabbat of Pesach we are to wave the
Firstfruit offering to the Lord. The time is now for the whole body of Messiah
to come and follow the way the truth and His way of LIFE. For those out there
who say we don’t need this and we are free from the Law I ask this question
you are free to do what? The feast of Firstfruits is an incredibly special day
for the Lord. He chose this one to rise from the dead it is our duty but even
more it is our Honor to celebrate this HOLY DAY!
